From I don’t know you
to I know you better than myself
we traveled far and wide.
Until we reached our final destination.
Then we traveled back
even farther and wider
from I know you better than myself
to I don’t know you at all.
The road is weary
of standing in place
My feet are the last to fall asleep
and all the streets, I went along,
fall asleep in me.
Will the road travelled today,
become the light
when I awaken?
I am learning the city
I am searching for addresses and myself
I am learning the sea
the sea already knew
why I was coming
to be silent with it
I am learning to give names to the stray cats
I am learning to give spring a chance
I am learning to forgive winter
(winter, you are forgiven!)
I am learning to live without
big shops and googlemaps
(googlemaps doesn’t help you to find the way to yourself)
